About fuel before school

Hi, I’m Angelica (Gel for short), I’m a Clinical Nutritionist (BHSc) and the founder of This is Your Body. I spend most of the school year visiting classrooms across Australia supporting teens to improve their relationship with food and their body.

Something I’ve noticed in the five years since starting the business, is the importance of giving people a “why”. Without a why, it can be hard to find the motivation to make changes to our daily routine. So, instead of just telling our teens to eat breakfast, I’m here to tell you why it might be helpful.

We know that only 28% of adults and 42% of children consume an adequate amount of fibre every day in Australia. By adding breakfast into your teens’ day, you’re giving them another opportunity to increase their fibre intake!
